Making the World into a Better Place

Making the World into a Better Place

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but it’s all about what we do, because everything we are doing affects others in one way or another.

I have been communicating with my family and friends in Uganda. We have been talking about the young people and how depressed they are, because when they try to raise up their voice pointing out the problems they face and asking for help, no one listens to them! So, the young people are starting to do desperate things in order to get attention.

When I talked to some of them about what’s going on there, most of them that said, “We don’t have hope in this world as young people!” That was heartbreaking!!! One of them said, “At least you, Wilson ,are not involved in these difficulties, because you are in the USA.” I told him that things that affect human beings affect me too. It doesn’t matter if I’m in the USA or not. We are all living in the same world. You see? He said, “Yeah.”

Then he asked me, “What should we do to help the world, Wilson? I said, “I don’t have a direct answer for now, but we can pray for each other.”

I hope our prayers will make a difference in this world.

If you have an answer, please let me know, because your idea can make a big difference in someone’s life.

Thanks!

Problems In Life

Dear Friends,

I have something I would like to share with you about my practical life. Everybody has practical things in life to take care of and practical problems to worry about too. I don’t have too many practical worries in my own life, but I try to help my friends with their practical lives and worries. Also, I spend a lot of time thinking about the world, and I feel the suffering of all the practical problems and worries of the whole humanity. I will never meet most of the people, but I send them my love.

Well, sometimes I get anxious about the practical problems in this world! For example, I feel that I’m not contributing enough with my mission of love and taking care of people. The problems are big, and what I can do is little! But recently I started feeling more satisfied with my service by remembering that I can only do a few things, but God can do the rest.

This exercise of feeling okay and delegating my worries to God has made a very big difference in my life. That gives me more hope to serve humanity.

If you have any experience like mine, please share your experience with others. It can be helpful in this world.
