Storing Hope

Stories about love to restore hope in people's hearts

Problems In Life

Dear Friends,

I have something I would like to share with you about my practical life. Everybody has practical things in life to take care of and practical problems to worry about too. I don’t have too many practical worries in my own life, but I try to help my friends with their practical lives and worries. Also, I spend a lot of time thinking about the world, and I feel the suffering of all the practical problems and worries of the whole humanity. I will never meet most of the people, but I send them my love.

Well, sometimes I get anxious about the practical problems in this world! For example, I feel that I’m not contributing enough with my mission of love and taking care of people. The problems are big, and what I can do is little! But recently I started feeling more satisfied with my service by remembering that I can only do a few things, but God can do the rest.

This exercise of feeling okay and delegating my worries to God has made a very big difference in my life. That gives me more hope to serve humanity.

If you have any experience like mine, please share your experience with others. It can be helpful in this world.

  1. Wilson,

Recently, I decided to be more bold with my prayers. Not hiding behind the “God Will” statement but secretly not wanting his will but wanting mine. It isnt healthy or wise to lie to yourself and God. Therefore, I am making a very conscious decision towards praying specifically about where I want to go next in my life without a filter. Not I think God is a genie or has a magic power to give me what I want. But in order to clear the air and be honest about my desires and my failures. Then I know that I will be open about to God’s guidance. Philippians 4:6 says “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

I think that I am anxious when I pray because I know I am not being honest with God. I am hiding my real desires from myself because he already knows it all.

I dont know your specific situation but I believe that you are a wonderful person who is making a difference in your world. I know you make a difference in mine. Thank you for your honest post.

    • Rob,

Thank you for sharing with me about your experience of being honest with God. You know we are always learning from each other and sometimes helping each other by sharing our experiences. Your comment gave me more courage in my mission.

  2. I understand what you say about ‘getting anxious over problems which you have no control over’. I do not like that feeling! I quit TV and ‘news’ in 2010, because it hurt my heart. I chose to allow my heart to guide me in life, knowing I can choose to live in FEAR or LOVE. When my heart is not happy, I stop and find out why. When my heart is happy, I am happy.
I believe the best thing we can do for others/the world, is to become the best YOU there is. Be a reflection to others and a pillar.
I would like to share a post of mine from July 2016, ” I k(NO)w Worry Now”

  4. Sometimes I have felt like I’m not doing enough for others, especially when the world’s problems are so big. But I’ve learned that I have to take care of myself to be able to help others. Every little bit helps. And yes, it does help to remember that God has a bigger plan. We do our part, but we are not the whole plan. Thank you for helping me remember this.

    • I’m so happy to hear that my story helped you. Thank you for being open to share with me your thoughts. Your comment helped me to remember that we are playing our part as human beings and God is doing the rest.

  7. All you need is Love… I am a former school nurse who taught any child who entered my office that there are 3 rules: Be Kind. Be Kind. and Be Kind. You are teaching the same and I love you for it! Peace.
